Alive Docs Explorer

Overview

Alive Docs Explorer is the web-site where users go to to interact with Alive Docs. It runs entirely in the web browser, and has a familiar explorer type user interface so users feel at home straight away and can immediately understand how to use it.

Opening documents and other tools is as simple as clicking on the document or tool in the tree-like navigation on the left to open that document or tool in the right hand panel or as a popup panel.

Viewing Documents

Clicking a document in the tree will immediately open that document in the right panel for viewing. Viewing Word, PDF, and Excel documents is supported, and support for other document types will be added in the future.

Documents can be uploaded by right clicking the title of the Documents panel or right clicking the specific folder to upload to.
Multiple documents can be uploaded in one action.

Send / Mail Merge

Documents can be sent using your contacts data from contacts you have in other online services like Gmail, Online Accounting, Online CRM, etc.

To find out more about which online services Alive Docs works with, see Services Integration.
If the document contains Word Mail Merge fields then these fields will be automatically populated with the contacts data before the document is sent.

Tools

The Tools navigation panel gives users quick access to commonly used features and panels such as Send, Uploads, Help, and Contacts.

New tools will be made available in the future, based on customer feedback. If you have a specific requirement or suggestion for a tool, then please let us know.
