Alive Docs Now Live

Michael Buisson | March 11th, 2010

We released Alive Docs a few days ago.

The way I start describing it to people is imagine Windows Explorer and think of that running in the browser. It does use the familiar folder and file exploring metaphor, but it is much more than that. Of course it runs online in your browser, and when you click on documents you can see the document contents straight away in the right hand panel without having to wait for applications like Microsoft Word, Excel, etc to load.

Furthermore it connects to other services so you can merge data from those other services – initially mail merge with Capsule CRM, FreshBooks, Gmail, and Xero.

We’re going to have a lot of fun with the real-time merging and rendering capabilities going forward where we can merge information from anywhere on the net to Word Documents, Spreadsheets, and other doc types.

Let us know what you think.

Click on Start Now and try things out.
